It's a fair worry, so I manage it structurally. I keep a small client roster, scope projects with buffers, and work in weekly sprints with defined deliverables, so nothing lives only in my head. Compare that with the agency alternative, where the senior person from the pitch quietly hands your project to a junior. One senior person with clear scope is the lower risk, not the higher one.
